The LG Rumor 2 has been around the web for quite some time now, and is now official as Sprint’s LG Rumor 2 and Alltel’s LG Banter. It is the same phone with different names under two different mobile carriers so do not be confused.
This phone will have an updated QVGA resolution display for clearer and much more detailed images at 2 inches. This will also have a four-key row of the slide out full QWERTY keyboard on the side, and with an alphanumeric keypad on the front. Multimedia features include 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, and a memory card support at up to 16GB. Sprint also offers the Sprint Navigation for voice and on-screen turn-by-turn driving directions, and the Sprint Mobile Email Work which includes Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Lotus Notes.
Sprint has already announced that this will be released online starting March 15 in Black Titanium and on March 29 in Vibrant Blue. And on April 19, this will be available in all Sprint stores for $49.99 with a two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. However, Alltel’s version of the Rumor 2, called the Banter, is now available and has already started selling a few days back.
